TriTone Digital Is Back Baby!

TriTone Digital, makers of such great products as Colortone, Valvetone, Angeltone, Hydratone and a host of others is back with two brand-new native versions of its plug-ins.

Since their inception they’ve relied on the Pluggo run time engine as the basis for all of their plug-ins. A while back Pluggo bit the dust leaving the fellas over at TriTone high and dry.

They’ve now started their comeback with the first two recoded native versions of their plug-ins in VST, AU and RTAS; ValveTone ’62 and ClassicTone-PEV.

Here’s a little piece of the story in their own words:

TriTone Digital got its start in the world of audio processing and plugins way back in 2003. Eight products later we hit a little road bump wth the untimely demise of Pluggo (may it rest in peace). Now we’re back!

After a long, hot summer of coding we are finally back in business! Pluggo is a thing of the past and we now releasing fully custom-coded native RTAS, VST and AU for Mac! First up is our classic EQ ValveTone ’62 and a new plugin, ClassicTone-PEV.

More natively re-coded plugins coming soon!

They’re also very reasonable at just $85 a piece. Current owners of version 1 of ValveTone ‘62 can upgrade to the new version 2 for $25.

As a bonus, those who upgrade before December 31, 2009 will also receive a free copy of ClassicTone-PEV.

I can’t wait for them to re-release Colortone, a particular favorite of mine!
