A Free Live Album From Coldplay, Mixed Using Universal Audio UAD-2 Plug-Ins

A few years ago, a major band releasing their new album, mixed entirely “in the box” using analog emulations, and distributed directly to fans worldwide, for free, would be impossible.

Today, you can download Coldplay’s new live album, LeftRightLeftRightLeft, and do just that.

In mixing the album, producer Rik Simpson used a lot of Univeral Audio UAD-2 plugins. “The main plug-ins that I used were the Plate 140 reverb (mainly on vocals), the Neve 1073 EQs (great on guitars), Little Labs phase thingy (drum mics), UAD 4K Buss Compressor (on parallel busses, drums and guitars) and the Roland Space Echo, for a general vintage vibe.”
